School starts on Monday, and we have events coming up for you. Here are some events happening in ESL.
TOEFL Sign-up Deadline
The TOEFL is an English proficiency exam that is required when an international student is applying for UT or any other colleges around the U.S. The deadline to sign-up for the Institutional TOEFL is this Wednesday, July 10. Swing by the ESL front desk before 5 p.m.
Talk Time
“I really enjoyed attending [the activities] and specifically Talk Time!” said Aya Sakai, a former ESL student at the University of Texas at Austin.
Join us in a weekly discussion group where you get to interact with native English speakers. You will be put into groups based on your listening and speaking level. The event will help improve your conversational skills. Talk Time takes place every Wednesday from 3:45-5 p.m. at UNB 3.128 Sinclair Suite.
Wall Climbing
Interested in wall climbing? Want to burn some calories while making new friends? Join our wall climbing event and meet some of your classmates. Look for an email this week with the sign-up link! Wall climbing will take place at Gregory Gym this Thursday, July 11, from 4-5 p.m.
