Hey ESL Students! This is your weekly update as to what is happening in the world of ESL! This, like many other weeks, is filled with things for you to do!
Talk Time
Join us in a weekly discussion group where you get to interact with native English speakers. You will be assigned into groups based on your listening and speaking level. The event will help improve your conversational skills. Talk Time takes place every Wednesday from 3:45 – 5 p.m. at UNB 3.128 Sinclair Suite.
Happy Hour at Cain & Abel’s!

Resume/ CV Writing Presentation
Do you need a resume or Curriculum Vitae (CV) for your university application or applying for jobs? Need to learn about the format for official letters? Join us this Thursday, July 25, from 11–12 p.m. at CBA 3.304, the Events Room, next to the Atrium. Many universities and employers require resumes with applications, and there are some specific formats and styles that are considered more effective or attractive in the US than others so this is a great opportunity to learn about how to write resumes and CV’s.

Final Reception Talent Show
It’s hard to believe, but the end of the summer session is just three weeks away! We will have a final reception on Friday, August 9 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. in the Texas Union. Each semester, our final reception features a talent show. It’s time to start thinking about what YOU’LL do!
We are talking dances, fashion shows, martial arts demonstrations, songs and poems in any language, or skits and comedy. You could even perform with one of your peers and friends. When you have decided what you want to perform, please email Teresa Baker at tm-baker@austin.utexas.edu to coordinate your audio and video needs. Let’s make this another unforgettable end to the summer semester.
