Pools and Splash Pads in Austin
Austin is a wonderful place to live, but it get HOT during the summer! Here are some ways to stay cool while you explore UT and Austin this summer.

Barton Springs Pool
- Natural spring-fed water.
- It’s COLD! 68-70 degrees Fahrenheit (20-21 degrees Celsius)
- Federally protected habitat, which is home to the Barton Springs Salamander.
- Hours: Guarded Swim – MTWFSS (everyday except Thursday) 8 am – 10 pm
- Thursday – closed 9 am – 7 pm. Swim at your own risk (no guarded swim) from 5 am – 9 am.
- $5 entry
- Check for prohibited items
Liz Carpenter Fountain at Butler Park
Hours:
- Open Daily 9 am – 10 pm
Just one part of the larger Butler Metro Park (formerly Town Lake Metro Park). This fountain overlooks downtown Austin, and lights up beautifully at night!
Pease Park Splash Pad
Located super close to campus, the splash pad is at the southern most point of the newly renovated Pease Park at 1100 Kingsbury St.
Hours:

I didn’t know about Splash Pads in Austin. That’s amazing! (and pretty convenience for the summer). Now, I’ll plan to visit the Liz Carpenter Fountain at Butler Park. Thanks for all recommendations.

Is necessary, because we really need this kind of activity here in the summer to help beat the heat. At first I didn’t know where I could find all these pools and splash pads but when I saw this article I finally can have more and different activities to do in here, also it’s a good way to make more friends.
