All weekend: RecSports Try Before You Buy
RecSports is offering FREE access to all TeXercise classes and the Climbing Wall from August 28 – September 1. Bring your UT student ID card to take advantage of this offer; you can work out at Gregory Gym (21st and Speedway) or the RecSports Center (San Jacinto Blvd and 21st) Gym membership is regularly $26/month with your UT ID card. Saturday: Texas Football: opening game vs. Louisiana Tech
Football is a big deal in Texas! Our opening game of the season is this Saturday, August 31st at 7:00pm at Darrell K Royal – Texas Memorial Stadium. Even if you don’t have a ticket to the game, you can enjoy the spectacle of tailgating parties and other pre-game fun, then listen to the game streaming live. Sunday: Landmarks guided tour
Join College of Fine Arts staff for a free guided tour of public art works on the UT campus. Meet at in front of the Norm Hackerman Building (NHB) 24th and Speedway Sunday, September 1 at 10:ooam. Details at https://landmarks.utexas.edu/event/landmarks-guided-tour-19
Monday: Labor Day holiday!
The first Monday in September is Labor Day, a holiday to celebrate workers. The university will be closed, and so will banks and government offices, including the post office.
