U.S. Explained: College Sports
- ELC students are invited to this presentation hosted by Texas Global’s International Student and Scholar Services (ISSS).
- College sports are big deal at UT and in the U.S. in general. In this virtual session, Dr. Tolga Ozyurtcu, a professor from the Department of Kinesiology and Health Education, will discuss the relationship between amateur and professional sports in the U.S., the significance of college sports culture, and the role of student athletes at universities.

Scholarship Application: Spring 2022

- Two (2) scholarships are typically awarded: one for AEP and one for ELP
- Award will cover $2500 towards intensive tuition for the Spring 2022(15–week) session in either AEP or ELP.

International Open Mic Night at the Cactus Café
- ELC students are invited to this social event hosted by Texas Global’s International Student and Scholar Services (ISSS) for International Education Week 2021.
- ISSS is seeking talented musicians, poets, and singer-songwriters to sign up for a special edition of Open Mic Night at the historic Cactus Café, to be held the evening of Monday, Nov. 15, 2021.

- An international student or scholar
- A U.S. student or scholar with a passion for building a global community at UT
- And you want to:
- Perform an internationally themed song or poem (non-English performances welcome!)
- Bring your own instrument(s)
- Perform one song or poem that is 5 minutes or less in duration

Longhorn Halloween is THIS weekend! The event is returning Sunday, October 24 from 2 – 5 pm on Speedway Mall and in Gregory Gym Plaza! Join other community members, friends and family for Longhorn tricks and treats.
- Members of student organizations, staff members, and faculty will be hosting booths and presenting fun activities for Longhorns of all ages. The fun will range from bounce houses to fang-tastic activities (mask making, ring tosses, costume contests, and more) to demonstrations from the magical world of chemistry!
- Plan your costume and join in the fun!
- Free parking will be available for attendees in Brazos Garage (BRG) located at 210 E. MLK Blvd. between 2 – 7 pm. (If you leave the parking garage before 2 or after 7 pm, you will be required to pay to exit)

The TxTPEG House of Horrors returns this October for an all new sinister experience. Explore our laboratory of otherworldly experiments… chaotic creatures and stygian shades in a terrifying Exhibition of Nightmares.

The Rocky Horror Picture Show Quote-Along
“Let’s do the Time Warp again!” The Rocky Horror Picture Show is a madcap horror musical that became a cultural phenomenon!
- In true Rocky Horror fashion, a consumed shadow-cast will be performing along with the movie.
- Prop bags will be provided free of charge, so leave yours at home.
- Free for students and a guest with valid UT ID.
